Gate 11 – Ideas

Your child is a walking idea machine with no off switch.

Your child has an insatiable thirst for knowledge and is always eager to try new experiences. They share the ideas that spring from those adventures with anyone who’s open to listening. After a trip to a water park, for example, your child might come home convinced that you need a backyard pool.

As a little idea generator, they overflow with creative plans: from a treehouse complete with a slide to inventing a robot that cleans up the room. Not every suggestion is practical, but each one prompts others to think in fresh ways and brings a spark of excitement to any moment.

Your child may learn over time that not every idea can be carried out, yet they delight in passing on their wonderful visions to others. The ability to enrich people’s lives with imaginative ideas and inspire them to dream is a truly precious gift.

Collective Circuit

“I share my perception or logic with everyone.”

Polarity
If your child carries a lot of collective energy, it includes two poles: logic and perception. These energies are meant to share what your child observes with others. It’s not just for them, but for the collective. That means your child is meant to express their truth to the world, creating strong social energy. In the end, it’s the majority that decides what is relevant and true for everyone.

How do we all survive?
If your child has collective energy, it carries a strong sense of “WE.” It’s about the survival and progress of all humans. Processes that move society forward are initiated here to help transform the collective.

Visualization
If your child has many gates activated in the collective circuit, they typically have excellent visual perception. For example, they might be able to vividly imagine things in their mind or learn quickly through visual input.

What are Gates in Human Design?

Imagine your child is a beautiful old castle. In this castle, there are 64 different doors. These are the Gates in Human Design. Each door leads to a different room with unique qualities, talents and characteristics.

Some doors are wide open in your child. These are the activated Gates. Through these open doors, energy flows constantly. They show where your child is especially strong, what they naturally do well and how they inspire others.

Other doors are closed or just slightly ajar. This does not mean your child does not have these traits. It simply means they are not expressed automatically. These rooms are entered only when certain people come into their life or special situations arise.

The magic lies in this: no child has the same doors open. While one child shines through the Gate of creativity, another glows through the Gate of leadership or intuition. That is why every child is so uniquely wonderful.

As a parent, the Gates help you understand why your child sometimes reacts so differently than expected and why that is perfectly right and important.
