Gate 43 – Insight
Your child is allergic to “That’s how it’s always been.”
Through the gate to its inner ear, your child perceives what is right. An inner voice brings sudden insights and moments of clarity. This special energy seeks to break through old theories and patterns to make room for new alternatives.
If your child blurts out these insights unasked, that valuable energy dissipates. But when they wait patiently for the right moment, their solutions are welcomed with open arms. Timing is crucial for their innovative ideas to have the greatest impact.
Your child has a gift for simplifying complicated things. Feel free to ask what they would improve around the house. They might streamline everyday tasks and discover solutions you never would have imagined.

Highest energy of individual definitions
If your child has a lot of individual energy, they are here to be “different” and to appreciate their uniqueness. They allow their inner wisdom to mature over time and wait for the right timing to share it with others who are open to it. With their impressive individuality, they shine and allow themselves to be completely who they are.
"I lead – others follow."
The individual circuit brings the power for change. If your child has this energy, they should express their uniqueness fully. Free from shame or other limitations. Only then can they take on their role model function and inspire others to open up and show themselves authentically as well. By focusing on themselves and unfolding fully, they also give strength to those around them. They want to show what is possible and recognize the extraordinary treasure that resides in each individual.
Power from within
If your child has a lot of individual energy, they don’t take into account tribal or collective energy. Their motivation is not oriented toward the group but toward themselves. Your child does not draw strength from the family or society. Instead, they draw their strength and power from within.
Mutation
Individual energy is spontaneous and mutating. The right moment is crucial when your child wants to bring something new into the world. Before expressing themselves, it should feel right, and the environment should be open to it. Only over time will it become clear what is useful and proves itself in the long run.
Self-reflection
Progress in life depends mainly on how well your child can reflect on themselves. While others tend to observe their environment and orient themselves accordingly, your child may observe and question themselves. Only in this way can they recognize their challenges and strengths and improve. The inward gaze is the key to their development.
Communication
It is not necessary for your child to share everything they experience or think with the whole world. Only the strongest and most powerful version wants to be shown. Successful communication is essential to express the inner self and to convey to others why certain steps are being taken.
Melancholy
Melancholic moods are sometimes possible with individual energy and should generally be viewed neutrally. Great creative works often arise from melancholy, and so it is simply part of the process.
Special traits in your child
If your child with a lot of individual energy is forced to conform to the group or to be like someone else, they may feel isolated and become frustrated, bitter, or angry. They don’t want to be compared but rather supported in revealing their uniqueness to the world.
Due to their auditory imprint, they often talk to themselves or repeat certain sounds. It’s also important to understand that this is not logical energy. Your child is more intuitive, clairvoyant, and just knows things.

What are Gates in Human Design?
Imagine your child is a beautiful old castle. In this castle, there are 64 different doors. These are the Gates in Human Design. Each door leads to a different room with unique qualities, talents and characteristics.
Some doors are wide open in your child. These are the activated Gates. Through these open doors, energy flows constantly. They show where your child is especially strong, what they naturally do well and how they inspire others.
Other doors are closed or just slightly ajar. This does not mean your child does not have these traits. It simply means they are not expressed automatically. These rooms are entered only when certain people come into their life or special situations arise.
The magic lies in this: no child has the same doors open. While one child shines through the Gate of creativity, another glows through the Gate of leadership or intuition. That is why every child is so uniquely wonderful.
As a parent, the Gates help you understand why your child sometimes reacts so differently than expected and why that is perfectly right and important.
